Carrot Cake Smoothie

Indulgent and healthy... does it get any better!? Zingy oranges, vitamin-packed carrots and a warming hint of ginger and cinnamon. This recipe was developed by Viva!'s fabulous health campaigner, Veronika Charvátová MSc :)
Ingredients:
- 1 ripe banana (use fresh or frozen depending on how cold you like your smoothies... if using frozen you might have to add a little plant milk to help with blending)
- 1 orange, peeled with pith and pips removed
- 1 carrot
- 1cm fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
- Pinch cinnamon
Optional protein extras: soya milk, nut butter, protein powder, hemp seeds, flaxseed, oats, buckwheat flakes, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, chia seeds, cooked quinoa, protein yoghurt (eg Alpro Greek Style), white beans (eg cannellini), silken tofu
Method:
- Blend all ingredients together until smooth.
