Watermelon Tuna

Ingredients

  • ½ watermelon
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp freshly chopped ginger
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 2 sheets of nori
  • Spring onions
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Peel and cut watermelon into steaks.
  2. Blend all the other ingredients into a paste.
  3. Now marinade watermelon in paste and leave for 1 hour.
  4. Preheat oven to 180°C and roast watermelon for 40 minutes.
  5. Once cooked sear on a BBQ or in a pan.
  6. Garnish with spring onions and sesame seeds.
