Ingredients

  • 250g/8.8 oz (approx.) firm tofu (our favourite is Tofoo), drained and then patted dry with kitchen roll or a clean tea towel. Cut into cubes
  • ½ tbsp toasted sesame or rapeseed oil
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce (use tamari if gluten-free)
  • 1 tbsp syrup (eg maple, agave) – optional
  • 3 tbsp nutritional yeast

Instructions

  1. On a medium heat, fry the tofu in the oil until golden, turning frequently.
  2. Add the soy sauce and syrup then fry for a couple more minutes.
  3. Add the nutritional yeast and fry for a further minute.
  4. Taste then add a little more soy sauce and/or syrup if necessary.
  5. Enjoy with a variety of dishes.
