Sheese releases two new vegan cheese alternatives

Sheese Mighty Melty & Italiano

Bute Island’s Sheese brand is due to release two new products to its vegan cheese range:

  • Mighty Melter slices (RRP: £2.25 for 180g) and
  • The Italiano (RRP: £2.50 for 200g)

The Mighty Melter is a Red Leicester-style plant-based cheese, while The Italiano holds a mix of plant-based mozzarella and Cheddar-style dairy alternatives.

“Sheese’s growth continues to gather momentum and while some plant-based brands have struggled to stay alive, our products can now be found in Asda, Tesco, Sainsburys, Waitrose, Ocado and good health stores in the UK,” says Nigel White, marketing director of owner Bute Island Foods.

“Sheese has grown significantly; from first being made on a kitchen table on the Isle of Bute in 1988 to now exporting to South Africa,” said Nigel White, marketing director of Bute Island Foods. “From humble beginnings, Sheese is now available throughout Europe, North America, Australia and the Middle East too.”

Both will be available at ASDA from 21st November 2022.
