All about Croissants

As as vegetarian, I used to love nothing more than a couple of hot buttered croissants and a cup of coffee. So here at Viva! and the VVF we were delighted to discover pastry brand Jus Rol are now selling croissant mix in a tub - and it's vegan! As you peel off the card around the tub, a roll of pastry pops out, which you then spread out across your worktop. It is ready perforated into triangles, which are then rolled back up (wide end first) to form the croissant. Into the oven for around 10 mins, and there you have it, lovely, hot, fresh vegan croissants. I've been enjoying them most Saturday mornings, stuffed with dark chocolate. Today I'm going to be experimenting with savoury fillings for a photoshoot and feature for the next Viva!Life magazine. First on the cards is Sheese and vegan bacon. Delicious!
