Steamed Brussels Sprouts with Black Pepper

Steamed Brussels Sprouts with Black Pepper

How to enjoy your Brussels - love them or hate them! Top with a bit of vegan margarine to finish off and don't overcook them!
 

Ingredients: 

  • Fresh Brussels Sprouts on the stalk (allowing around five per person)
  • Black pepper

 

Method: 

1. Pull the sprouts off the stalk.

2. Remove dead leaves from the outside, cut off any unwanted stalk at the bottom and rinse off under water, in a colander.

3. Place sprouts in either a metal steamer, over the top of boiling water in a pan on a medium heat. Or use an electric steamer, if you have one.

4. Steam for around 6-8 minutes, or until they become as soft as you desire. Toss in vegan margarine and black pepper.
