Serves: 3-4

Creamy Carrot Sauce Oriental

This is a simple and easy way of getting even the most vegetable-shy person to eat carrots. Full of vitamin A to help you see in the dark!

Ingredients: 

  • 2 medium-large carrots, grated
  • 120-160ml/4-5fl oz water
  • 110g/4oz silken tofu
  • 1-2 tsp good quality soya sauce eg Kikoman; Essential; Clearspring, Sanchez. Tamari is GF
  • 1-2 tsp toasted sesame oil OR plain vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp fresh grated ginger - add more to taste if desired

Method: 

1. Blend all ingredients until smooth.

2. Adjust seasoning if necessary and serve - you can warm through a little if desired, but don't boil.

3. Good served with rice, noodles and most stir-fry dishes.
