Finger Foods for Young Children, vegan friendly

Many nutritious plant foods can be prepared and served in small, managable pieces suitable to give to  young children as finger foods.

Here are just a few ideas:

  • Sweet Potato Chips
  • Warm Tofu Cubes
  • Rice Cake Fingers spread with Nut Butters
  • Tofu 'Egg mayo' fingers
  • Mashed Avocado Fingers

Think about foods which can be easily pureed or become very soft and easy to digest when cooked. Most vegetables for instance can be cooked and then blended into pate form and spread on different sorts of small crackers or bread. Presentation is just as important as taste - try and be creative.
